Bedroom Tour : Part 1

Bench Area

I love changing my home up throughout the year and Valentine’s day seems like a great excuse to update the bedroom into more of a snuggly retreat for chilly evenings. Recently I purchased a Mongolian sheepskin circular cushion in powder pink from Oliver Bonas, whose new home products I’m loving at the moment which you will see on tour day 2. I’m also a fan of The White Company, particularly in the winter when you want to be covered in blankets and snuggled amongst big squashy pillows.

To me scented candles are integral for creating a relaxing environment (especially for masking wet dog smell after rainy walks) but am not a fan of overly artificial fragrances. At the moment I’m using Samuel Parris’ Vanilla and White Rum soy wax candle which smells lovely and sweet and would make a great Valentine’s gift for a guy or girl.

Muffin’s Area

This little tent from My Wee Teepee belongs to Muffin and is made extra snug with a fluffy (well loved) sheepskin. We’re always asked ‘Does she actually sleep in there” and yes! she loves it although she will always try to get onto our bed first. Above the tent I have wrapped a cloud shaped hanger from Flying Tiger (It was around £2.00) in wire lights which is a cosy way off adding another bit of sparkle to the room. I prefer not to use the main light and to use smaller lamps and candles so this is great for that.

Check back tomorrow where the tour continues. I was going to do it all in a oner but it ended up being the longest post ever. See you next time and if you have any home updates your loving at the moment let me know – I’m always looking for new design ideas to encorporate!

Thank you so much. I honestly think it’s down to the camera and using natural lighting so whites are bright and not yellowish. X
